Summer programme 2012

Working parties (weather permitting): wear warm but old clothing and strong waterproof footwear. Bring a packed lunch if you can stay all day. To minimise car use and to help those without cars please contact secretary Stefan Hobbs if you are able to provide lifts or would appreciate a lift.

Mon 2 Saltmarshes and Mudflats of Wyre estuary 11am to 1 pm. Meet in the River Room of Wyre Estuary Country Park, River Road, Stanah FY5 5LR.

Sat 9 Solitary bee Identification Training at Heysham and Middleton NRs with bee expert Carl Clee. 10am–3 pm. Contact Emma Garston for details and to book a place.

National Moth count on brownfield sites, daytime and night with moth light traps if weather suitable. Any time from 3pm to after midnight for light traps. Please email Pete Marsh for final details of arrangements according to weather

 Tetanus: All conservation volunteers are advised to have regular anti-tetanus injections.
